HighLevel syncs with Google Calendar in both directions, so bookings made in HighLevel appear in Google and events already on Google can block availability in HighLevel, and it can connect to Google Workspace for sign-in and meeting links. Connect the calendar first, decide which calendar is the record, and check for double bookings in the first week.
How the two-way sync works
As at September 2026, a two-way connection means events created inside HighLevel sync out to the linked Google Calendar, and events created in Google sync back into HighLevel as real appointments, with a contact automatically generated for the guest rather than just a blocked time slot (source: help.gohighlevel.com, checked September 2026). A one-way option also exists for a business that only wants Google events to block HighLevel availability without pushing HighLevel bookings out to Google.
Which calendar blocks availability
A Linked Calendar imports external events so HighLevel can display true availability, and by default a linked calendar is also treated as a Conflict Calendar, meaning the system reads events marked busy on that external calendar and blocks the matching slot from being booked. Events marked free on the external calendar are visible but do not block a slot. When a client requests a time, HighLevel checks both the linked and conflict calendars together and marks any overlapping slot unavailable.
Setting it up without creating a conflict
Connect the calendar under calendar settings, authorize Google, and choose which connected calendar acts as the Linked Calendar for a given HighLevel calendar. The most common setup mistake is connecting two live calendars, personal and business, as separate conflict sources without a clear priority between them, which can produce overlapping availability windows that neither calendar fully accounts for. Pick one calendar as the record for a given HighLevel calendar and keep bookings flowing through it.
Meeting links and sending email
The Google connection can attach a Google Meet link to a booking, the same way HighLevel's separate Zoom connection does for that platform (see Zoom). Marketing and transactional email should still send through HighLevel's own sending domain rather than a personal Gmail account, regardless of whether Google Calendar or Workspace is connected; sending volume and deliverability rules apply to the domain doing the sending, not to the calendar connection (see email deliverability).
Outlook as an alternative
Outlook is also a supported calendar connection alongside Google, for a business whose scheduling lives there instead. The same linked-and-conflict-calendar logic applies regardless of which calendar provider is connected.
